The Day of the Dead Community Celebration held 6 pm until 9 pm in the SUU Sharwan Smith Center, Starlight Room SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City, admission is FREE. Enjoy face painting, sugar skull decorating, making paper picado and paper flowers, musical guests and light refreshments.

Dancing With Your Community Stars held 630 pm at the Heritage Center Theatre 105 N 100 E, Cedar City, admission is 15 per adults, 10 children 12 yrs and under. The Musical The Spitfire Grill Performances will be held in the Randall L. Jones Theatre 195 W University Blvd, Cedar City at 730 pm with matinee performances on November 5th and 12th at 2 p.m. Tickets for The Spitfire Grill are 15 for adults and 7 for youth. Southern Utah University faculty, staff, and students are free with a valid ID card. Faculty and staff IDs are allowed one guest. Tickets are available at the SUU Ticket Office

Iron Mission Days Celebration and Cedar City 165th Birthday Celebration held 10 am intil 2 pm at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum 635 N Main, Cedar City, admission is 1.50 per person or 5 dollars per family. Pioneer activities, crafts for kids, living history demonstrations and tours of our Native Heritage Area and Hunter House Summer Kitchen will be available. Staff will be showcasing tomahawk throwing, goodies baked in the wood fired oven, and our Museum Blacksmith will be on hand. Additionally, visitors will be able to practice throwing the atlatl, pitching horseshoes, and of course, making the parks well known rag dolls. For information call 435.586.9290.

Suzuki Strings Regional Workshop Concert held 5 pm in the Heritage Center Theater 105 N 100 E, Cedar City, suggested 5 dollar donation. The Saturday concert culminates two days of workshop classes with students from throughout Utah. Violins, violas and cellists are featured with music ranging from Bach to Brahms plus fiddle tunes from the American Revolutionary era and a charming Sunny Day Jig.

Veterans Day, a Fee Free entry to the National Parks. To encourage Americans to explore Americas natural beauty, rich history, and culture admission fees will be waived.
Benefit Breakfast for Veterans held 8 am to 10 am in the Alumni House 300 E University Blvd Center St, Cedar Cit). Enjoy a complimentary breakfast, donations are encouraged and 100 percent of all donations will go back to the veterans and their families.

SUU Veterans Day Observance Program held 11 am in the Hunter Conference Center 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City. Event includes keynote speaker, honoring three local veterans, and more. The public is encouraged to attend the event in honor of Cedar Citys veterans.

The Veterans Day Memorial services will begin at the Veterans Memorial Park at 10 AM, with the placement of a memorial wreath. Southern Utah University will then host a Veterans Day Observance Program at 11 AM in the Randall Jones Theater. Community and student veterans will be recognized. I

10th Annual Red Rock Film Festival held at the Heritage Center 105 N 100 E, Cedar City and various locations around Cedar City, admission is 3 dollars per movie up to 250 for full all access passes. It is an artists retreat for film, cuisine, parties, and workshops with approachable professional people. Come out for this film festival held in November, and see more than 60 new films with filmmakers and up coming actors. From westerns and adventure sports docs and international dramatic features, the festival is just a 2 and a half hour drive North of Las Vegas, and offers a breathtaking location to see film with both Cedar Breaks National Monument and Zion National Park both a 20 minute drive.
